About Us
What Do We Believe?
As part of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27) we are interested in serving our Lord in manner that will be found pleasing to Him by following the pattern found in the New Testament. Whether by command or by example we wish to “hold to the traditions” taught by the first century Christians (2 Thessalonians 2:15).
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
“13 The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. 14 For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”
Chruch of Christ
The term “church of Christ” is not a title but rather a description of our relationship to Christ. We belong to Christ and we are part of his body (Ephesians 5:29-30). The term “churches of Christ is used in Romans 16:16.
Acapella Singing
In our worship you can expect acapella singing done by everyone in attendance. No choir. No instruments (other than our vocal chords). And no choir. We do this to fulfill the command “[sing] and make melody in your heart” in Ephesians 5:19
Lord Supper
Every Sunday we partake in the Lord’s Supper together. We do this to fulfill the command given by Jesus, “do this in remembrance of Me”. This also follows the example in Acts 20:7 to do this on the first day of the week.
